As
written and recorded here, this show is one single continuous nonstop
piece. Insert a couple of pauses if you don't want that. Don't worry
about endurance; The parts aren't high and everyone gets a section or
two of rests.
For
years I directed a band with a huge range of ability and experience.
Our best players made All-State and Region Band but half our band was
also VERY young. In every show I had two goals:
Feature top
players as much as possible
Give younger kids
a part they can MASTER
That's what I have done here.

About
the recording:
For
this performance my imaginary band director covered the
tuba part with bass
guitar. If you have good tuba players, don't
worry; they will
LOVE this part.
Our pretend
percussion section consists of a sideline pit
containing a drum
set, a couple of mallets, plus another
couple of auxiliary
players.
Depending
on your size and instrumentation, you may want
to change some of
the solos to soli.
